Spirit Award
Initiated in 1979, this award is given to the Club member whom the elected officers of the Club select as the person who has done the most work for the Chesapeake Region during the current year. The award is in honor of Murrell E. Smith, in recognition of his tireless efforts for the benefit of the Chesapeake Region.
The elected officers of the Club make the selection of the awardee at the September Board Meeting. The recipient may not be an elected officer, but may be an appointed officer.
